Dec 03, 2018: 3D Universe has removed most of his free items from his site, although several of the newer ones remain. Some of them may still be available through the Wayback Machine; check the freebie wiki.
Nov 11, 2018: Mr Sparky/Sparkyworld’s freebies have a new home at the Attic’s Free Zone. I’ll have some link updating to do soon…
Dec 12 2017: Looks like Chris Cox’s blog is gone (thanks to Nik for the heads up!) but the Wayback Machine has some of them archived here.
Oct 15 2016: Ironman13 has also removed all her free poses and props from freeposes.net. She has a few of them uploaded at Renderosity Freestuff. I did the usual strike-through text but left the actual link in case anyone wants to try their luck at the wayback machine archive.
Oct 09 2016: Looks like Pixeluna has removed all the freebies from her site.
May 16 2016: Updated the Buried Treasures page to include some old freebies for the equally old Sluggians. Battle Slug!
Also, the freebies from Mada’s old Faerie Dreams store can still be downloaded here; click on the “Faerie Dreams” link in the menu. Don’t know if the forum freebies will show up again.
Dec 04 2015: Updated the Buried Treasures page with newly discovered links to Front Tails Hair for Sadie and Boy Cut Hair for Sam. From The 3D Zone’s old web page.
Sep 17 2015: Arcebus has removed his website; the two freebie pages have been archived here and here, but not all the downloads work.
Sep 04 2015: Redviper’s “delivery system” moved to a new URL. I think I’ve updated all the links here, but in case I missed any, the new site is here.
Aug 27 2015: Added Bunny Girl for Toon Generations to the Buried Treasure Page, now that The3DZone’s site is mostly dead. Also, the recent site update at Renderosity broke links from the old Christmas Give-Away pages so they’re no longer available. But it was nice while it lasted!
Aug 23 2015: Fantasies Attic changed the URL on their free site and broke all my freebie links. Again. I think I caught all the changes this time around, but if I missed any, the new main page is here. Search works.
Nov 15 2014: Updated the Uniform Fabric Tiles to add some previews, which I somehow failed to get around to doing before. Also added a Buried Treasures page.
Nov 02 2014: Updated the Toon Hair Materials page to add previews…’cuz there weren’t any. o.O
Oct 20 2014: Added four new tiles to the Seamless Tiles page
I really like the design of those backgrounds 🙂 Not that I know what to do with them, but they’re nice to look at =)
Speaking of aweStuff, you may want to follow the official support thread, and feel free to post any questions there. Here’s a link to my post with a how-to for customising the starter scene preset:

Thanks for both the shout out about the annual gifties to all and for the Hallow freebie you donated. They are gorgeous and just think how many “sexy” witches of all creaturs you can add to them for portraits and such. I love them and they will be going up soon too, especially since they are Hallow themed.
As always, thanks for your advice! I have the this topic bookmarked as well as the 3DL thread in the Commons, as some stuff is being posted there are well.
The PDF manuals are nice as far as explaining things go. I’m going to start with a small project and work up from there.
It may be worth it to follow both 3Delight threads even, my laboratory one and Barefoot’s render thread. I’ll probably try and compile some sort of an FAQ off them all later.
The starter scene does look to be a good base for that sort of “student project”.
Yup, your topic is one that I’m watching. 🙂
I want to try the translucency fabric preset for sure and something with glass and skin, but we’re leaving this week for a short vacation so I don’t think I’ll get too far along. But that’s okay; the point is to just play around and figure out how things work.
This is the one for renders:

Sven started asking questions, so we sort of happily hijacked it as well.
Wishing you a nice vacation =)
Thanks! It was a nice mini-vacation. Except for the snow flurries. Ugh.
Bookmarked that link too!
Snow, in October?!
Sven started a yet another thread BTW. I don’t know what’s up with the dudes, why they are so hell-bent on making new threads, but whatever. Also worth looking at. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/284366/the-official-awesurface-test-track/p1
I still haven’t done anything yet with this. Ugh.
Heading out of town again this week too. It’s just been an unusually busy October. But thanks for this link too. I’ll head over and take a look at what Sven’s been posting there as well…
And yes, snow! It was a nasty squall with high winds and sleet/snow blowing around like crazy. The hubby was out on the highway and said it was nearly white-out conditions.
But today is beautiful and sunny.
A squall on the highway, sounds kinda scary =(
Good to see you posting again! I don’t use backgrounds, but those look very nice. And I am looking forward to the retro poses!
Me too, Michele!!! Takes me back to my younger years and all of the sci-fi books I read as a kid.
Retro poses up! Hope you guys have fun with them. The cheesier fun the better!
Some folks don’t have much use for backgrounds, I know. It’s okay; everyone has their thing. I’m working on some sexy witches for DarkAngel. 🙂
DarkAngel’s a great freebie. Sexy witches will be swell.
Hee! I meant darkangel612 from the Fantasy Attic site.
I forgot that I had that V4 freebie!
Maybe I should load her on G2F or G3F and see what she looks like, then do an example repost for non-V4 users. I made a Baron Samedi for M4 too…
So what is DarkAngel?
She’s an old V4 free character texture I did for the 2013 Halloween freebie theme. The link is here: https://redeyecat.wordpress.com/2013/08/29/halloweens-just-around-the-corner/
🙂
Ah yes I have it downloaded but not installed or in my database. I am so behind in my documentation. Thank you.
Ha! Probably the fate of many a freebie…
